Sodium is an important element in the body that is found in the body fluid outside the cells but also inside the skeleton. It is the acid-base balance and the water and salt balance in the body that are dependent on sodium. Blood pressure is also affected by sodium and potassium and the balance between these two.

Information

Minerals are non-organic compounds that are used as building blocks to build up parts of the body.
